Your chef, Peter Hoffmann, has, for many years, been creating good food that delights his customers. Now this special talent is treating the people of Montagu and all the travelers that pass through. The menu is a blend of good old South African fare with stylish Continental flare.
The menu changes with seasonal availability and the chef's whim, to ensure that all ingredients are fresh and neither the chef nor the patrons get bored with the selection! Many of our ingredients come fresh from the surrounding fruit, vegetable, poultry and dairy farms.
Our current menu features camembert and mushroom tower starter - for the delicate palate, eisbein - juicy inside, crisp outside, and finish off with a chocolate Klipdrift brandy cake with dates and vanilla eish-cream. To see our current menu click here.
We cater for functions like wedding receptions and office parties for up to 40 people inside, or up to 60 people in the garden for summer events.





The cosy bar is perfect for enjoying a quiet appreciation of a selection of fine local wines and spirits. The Western Cape boasts many internationally acclaimed cellars, and beer is brewed on the premises by the Karoo Brew[ery].
On fine days you can sip your selection along with your meal in the sculptured garden, or around the friendly firepit.
